The steps to the non-participant membership process are listed chronologically:
- Complete and mail all of the following to the membership coordinator:
- Membership application [DOC]
- Application fee [PDF]
- New Member Credit Application
- Market Participant Service Agreement (MPSA) Form [DOC]
- Security Administrator Signatory Page [PDF]
- Completed W-9 or W-8, as applicable
- Information Disclosure Form [DOC]

- Credit application and Financial Assurance review
Responsible: ISO-NE Finance department
Financial Assurance requirements apply mostly to FTR-Only Customers and to DRP-Only Customers that plan to participate in the Day-Ahead Energy Market.
Membership activation, except for FTR-Only Customers, is always effective at the 1st of the month. FTR-Only Customers can be activated in the middle of a month provided the application is complete and Financial Assurance requirements have been met.
