Operation Forecasting
A summary of weather conditions, total expected generation available/unavailable, projected imports, forecasted load and reserve requirements and projected actions required to maintain reliability at the peak hour of each of the subsequent seven-days.
The system requirements for AGC-equipped generation to automatically increase or decrease its level of output to control frequency and to maintain proper power flows into and out of the NE Control Area for each hour of the previous year. Also included are the current values of the tuning parameters used in the regulation selection algorithm and software.
A time-series plot of systemwide hourly load forecast compared with actual real-time load for a selected operating day. This load does not include energy consumed by dispatchable asset-related demand, such as the energy used to operate pumped-storage plants.
System-wide load forecast, by hour for the current day and following two days. Updated daily by 10 AM.
Daily summary of factors affecting the power system during the next seven days, including weather, generating capacity and peak demand.
